I have reset 5 times. The watch simply cannot be used for phone calls. Samsung has a massive problem on their hands. Resetting does not fix the problem with sleep tracking showing almost zero deep sleep either. This watch model appears to be defective.

Hi, I have the original Galaxy watch and ots been doing quite well for a few years now apart from the battery life being lowered considerably. However, now the watch keeps overheating and shutting down. I've tried restarting it and it's not a glitch because the watch does actually heat up a lot within 3 minutes of being turned on.

Just got my Gw5 lte today. Has the same overheating issue as Gw4 lte but worse. Airplane mode turned on for overheating in less than 10 mins and the watch was barely hot at all. Maybe 30% as hot as the Gw4 would get before the Gw4 shut down. Really disappointed, terrible option for runners who want music or gps.

When I place the watch in standalone mode by turning off the Bluetooth connection from my phone and make a phone call or text the watch rapidly heats up. I receive an onscreen warning that the watch is entering a cooling mode and then drops into airplane mode until it cools off. Once it cools off sufficiently the watch resumes normal operation
Hi, I'm the owner of a Samsung Watch 4 LTE edition. Besides Gpay issue that I raised on a different post, I'm also experiencing another problem, that it seems is a common issue and has been raised by users of Samsung Watch 4 LTE on different countries i.e. overheating problem when the watch is used as standalone, not connected to the phone.
No info on that yet. The most I know is that it likely is just phone carrier's fault of not setting up the eSIM correctly. One redditor made a post a long time ago ( link) that tl;dr if you have a regular eSIM, watch will overheat within 5 minutes of calling. if you have a correctly set up eSIM specifically made for watches, a youtuber showed
